A selection of work for small businesses, local institutions, and one land-grant university. Websites, brand identity, and the print pieces that carry both into the world.
Websites
Sites built to do one job well: help a customer find you, understand what you do, and get in touch.

Website redesign
Jerry's Barber Shop
Jerry Ritchie runs a one-chair barber shop on West Main Street. He had no web presence at all, and no way for someone searching "barber near me" to find his hours, his address, or his phone number.
He asked for something simple and clear, and we were able to build him a fast, mobile-first site built around the three things customers actually look for. It launched and his business doubled.
My business doubled the month after it launched. Jerry R., Jerry's Barber Shop

Kentucky Doll and Toy Museum
A small-town museum with a thousand-piece collection and no way for visitors to find hours, exhibits, or events. I built their site and worked with the director through launch. The palette comes from the museum's own hand-painted sign: green, gold, and Victorian lettering that had been hanging on West Main for years.
Merrick was able to make it happen seamlessly. Jan T., Kentucky Doll and Toy Museum

Good Foods Co-op, 50th anniversary
This was for our 50th anniversary celebration as a co-op, as Good Foods was founded in 1972. This press release is an example of what our business can do for you in terms of public relations needs.

Fall Fest
Fall Fest 2023 was a brand-new event that I came up with at Good Foods to help drive traffic into the store. Featuring live music, 35 vendors, and a 200% increase in foot traffic, the event was a success and has been held annually at the Co-op ever since.

Owner appreciation shirts
In honor of Good Foods Co-op hitting 10,000 owners, I designed this fun shirt with a muscular chicken.

GeneNETWORK 2024

Magazine Advertisement
I created this advertisement for Laura's Mercantile to go in our annual owner newsletter at Good Foods Co-op.
